Our Story
The majority of our dating relationship was spent long distance, meaning lots of phone calls. We did what we could despite the distance for date nights. Typically we would order food from the same restaurant, eat over call, and watch a movie together. Below documents the snapshots of moments that were spent together through various trips we took between Minnesota and Billings.
February 12, 2021
Our first date, we ate dinner at Cafe' Zupas, followed by bowling at Country Club Lanes in Tonka Bay, Minnesota. Since it was during Covid, Devon was obviously breaking the masking rule...
April 19, 2021
A few months later, Devon came back out for a fun trip filled with more bowling. During this trip, Elisabeth introduced Devon to Culvers, the fast food restaurant of the Midwest.

For our year dating anniversary, Devon took Elisabeth out to Olive Garden.
November 21, 2021
During the weekend of our one year dating anniversary the Green Bay Packers were in town. Devon got the tickets to go to watch his favorite NFL team live.

While he was in town next he took me to watch his second favorite MLB team the A's. At this game Elisabeth was almost hit with a home run ball up in the stands where Devon assured her they were safe.

This trip was made for the end of the year Gala at Crown. The Gala was a celebration for the seniors and a last hurrah before spring finals.

Devon decided to come out when his favorite NBA team, the Bucks, were in town and took Elisabeth. Her unamused face is due to an ear infection and a car accident a few weeks prior. During this visit, Elisabeth finally told her parents about Devon.
May 30, 2023
Elisabeth drove out to Billings a day early from Minnesota and surprised Devon. During this trip home Elisabeth introduced Devon to the family at her younger brother's graduation. Elisabeth also took Devon on a roller coster at Silverwood that he would rather not go on again, but he had a lot of fun on a lot of the other rides.

Elisabeth flew out for a wedding for one of Devon's friends. On her layover she found a Voodoo doughnut shop and had to bring one to Devon to try.

Devon came out again for Elisabeth's senior Gala. We got to spend a week together as the Gala was a week before Graduation.

On the way back to Minnesota, Elisabeth tacked on an extra day to the trip back and we stopped by Mount Rushmore sight seeing.

Devon finally took Elisabeth to the Montana Fair, in billings, and Rodeo, which was a highlight of the summer.

One of the big events for Devon's job, he wanted to bring a date to so convinced Elisabeth to come over.

From the work event, Devon was given some tickets to a Griz game, so Devon took Elisabeth to her first Griz game.
October 12, 2024
Back after the fair, Elisabeth decided to spoil us both and bought tickets to the Griz homecoming game! We had a blast making memories and can't wait to attend more games together.
January 11, 2025
Finally after months of pleading, Devon finally moved to the same town in January 2025. For our birthday, yes we share the same birthday, we went over to Couer d'Alene for a free dutch bro's. Elisabeth took Devon on a trip down memory lane to one of the favorite cross country meets.

Anyone who knows Devon knows he can't keep a secret, especially from Elisabeth. So, it came as no surprise when he proposed on February 15th. Yes, the day after Valentines Day.

We can't wait to celebrate with everyone on our half birthday next year, July 11th, 2026!
